The board behind Orbit Remote — a wireless control dial for the smart home that dims lights, scrubs volume and switches scenes with a spin and a click. The PCB carries a pre-certified Zigbee radio module, the rotary encoder at its heart, and an on-board AAA battery holder, all shaped to drop straight into the in-house printed enclosure.

From idea to ordered boards in two days. Day one: choosing components and tracking down the right encoder module for the feel and the power budget. Then the full schematic drawn up, the board laid out around the enclosure's footprint, and the order placed with PCBWay. Boards are on their way now.

Every milliamp matters on a device that has to live for years on two AAAs — the layout is built around deep-sleep power management from the start, not patched in later.

Further PCB work is in build for client projects and stays under wraps until delivery — including sensor boards for smart home presence detection and embedded controllers for IoT devices.

Case studies will be published here as they clear. In the meantime, the capability is live: schematic capture, board layout, and the firmware and enclosures to match — one engineer, the whole product.
